The short answer
On an Android TV box (or a Chromecast with Google TV), install TiviMate from Google Play, choose “Add playlist”, then “Xtream Codes”, and paste your server, username and password. TiviMate builds a cable-style guide with the Israeli channels and supports catch-up where available.
Step by step
TiviMate on your box
Install TiviMate
From Google Play. If your box has no Play Store, use Downloader with TiviMate’s official site.
Add a playlist
On first launch choose Add playlist, then Xtream Codes.
Enter your login
Server (with http:// and the port), username and password, exactly as sent. Watch for trailing spaces.
Load the guide
TiviMate pulls the guide from the same server. If it is empty, Settings → EPG → Update.
Build your Israeli favourites
Long-press a channel and choose “Add to favourites”.
Settings that prevent freezing
- Settings → Playback → Buffer size: medium.
- Use the Ethernet port instead of Wi-Fi if the box has one.
- Turn off automatic app updates while watching.
- Restart the box once a week to free memory.
Questions
Questions about this guide
Which box should I buy?
A certified Android TV or Google TV device with at least 2 GB of RAM, such as a Chromecast with Google TV or an Nvidia Shield.
TiviMate or IPTV Smarters?
TiviMate has the best TV-style guide; IPTV Smarters is simpler and separates live, films and series. You can use both with the same login.
My box freezes. Why?
Very cheap boxes with 1 GB of RAM struggle with big playlists. Restarting helps; a better box solves it.
